SopCast is a simple, free way to broadcast video and audio or watch the video and listen to radio on the Internet. Adopting P2P(Peer-to-Peer) technology, It is very efficient and easy to use. Let anyone become a broadcaster without the costs of a powerful server and vast bandwidth. You can build your own TV stations comparable with large commercial sites with minimal resources. Using SopCast, you can serve 10,000 online users with a personal computer and a home broadband connection.
Sop is abbreviation for Streaming over P2P. Sopcast is the Streaming Direct Broadcast System based on P2P. The core is the communication protocol produced by Sopcast Team, which is named Sop://, or sop technology.
Our aim is to make everyone on the world can build his personal media broadcast channel very easily and to let everyone has a chance to show him. To run the SopCast Software, the following requirement is needed:
1. Windows XP (Professional or Home edition), Windows 2000 , Windows ME , Windows98 Platform .
2. At least 64M System Memory, 128M System Memory is recommended.
3. At least 10M Harddisk space.
4. Install Microsoft Media Player 9.0 above or RealOne, RealPlayer made by real.com. or ther media player which can play streaming.
